FINAL BATTLE

Satan has been in the Bottomless Pit for the thousand year reign of Christ during which time he has been unable to tempt anyone.

1 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 2 He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; 3 and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while. [Revelation 20:1-3]

After the Thousand Year Reign of Christ and the Saints, the last need for this present earth is to provide a platform for the final call for anyone to rebel against God, who resents being controlled by the strict enforcement of righteousness that was required as they lived under for the Rod of Iron rule of the Kingdom of God. Satan who has not been able to tempt anyone for the thousand years is released. [Revelation 20:7-10]

It is amazing how effective his call for the people to rebel against God will actually be and how willingly they will accept being deceived.

When the thousand years have ended, Satan will be released from his prison and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea. They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them. The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. [Revelation 20:7-10]

Matthew 5:17-19

17 "Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. 18 For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.

Matthew 24:35

Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.

Hebrews 1:10-12

10 And: "You, LORD, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of Your hands.

11 They will perish, but You remain; and they will all grow old like a garment; 12 Like a cloak You will fold them up, And they will be changed.

But You are the same, and Your years will not fail."

17 And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.

WHEN:

AT THE TIME OF THE GREAT WHITE THRONE JUDGMENT

The Great White Throne are not on the present earth or in the present heaven because both are destroyed at the time of the Great White Throne Judgment. [Revelation 20:11]

11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them.

1 Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea.

2 Peter 3:7-14

7 But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. 8 But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. 11 Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, 12 looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat? 13 Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.

14 Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless;

Isaiah 34:4

All the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled up like a scroll;

All their host shall fall down as the leaf falls from the vine, and as fruit falling from a fig tree.
