Form of Religion

Koran

Bible

The angel Gabriel revealed the Koran to Mohammed a little at a time from 610 AD to 632 AD the time of his death.

Prior to Mohammed the Arabs worshiped nature and many idols, the chief gods were Al-Lat, Al-Uzza, and Manat, daughters of  Allah the supreme Semitic God.  Al-Lat represented Sun, Al-Uzza represented Venus, and Manat represented Fortune.  Idolatry was eventually rejected because of the influence of Jewish and Christian monotheism.

Introduction page 1

A collection of writings from Moses around 1407 BC to the Revelation of John around 96 AD collected and considered as Scripture by Jews and Christians.  They contain the messages God revealed to mankind showing that Jehovah the God of Israel is the Creator of all, Judge of all, and author of eternal salvation.

The Bible gives both evidence and reason.

The Koran coming 690 years after Christ, puts forth another Gospel, another Christ, another Spirit, and another Jesus, fulfilling Bible prophecy.

Belief by blind faith alone:

This book is not to be doubted. It is a guide for the righteous.

Al-Baqarah    The Cow 2:2

This is the truth from your Lord:  Therefore never doubt it.

Al-Baqarah    The Cow 2:147

Belief by proof of evidence:

Come, let us reason together, says Yehowah.

Isaiah 1:18

32 "For ask now concerning the days that are past, which were before you, since the day that God created man on the earth, and ask from one end of heaven to the other, whether any great thing like this has happened, or anything like it has been heard.

Deuteronomy 4:32-40   NKJV

Therefore thus says the LORD:

"Ask now among the Gentiles,

Who has heard such things?

The virgin of Israel has done a very horrible thing.

Jeremiah 18:13

Ask now, and see,

Jeremiah 30:6  NKJV

Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition, on whom the ends of the ages have come.  Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.

1 Corinthians 10:11-12   NKJV

Faith

Believers, have faith in Allah and His apostle, in the Book He has revealed to His apostle, and the Scriptures He formerly revealed.  He that denies Allah, His angels, His Scriptures, His apostles, and the Last Day has strayed far.

An-Nisaa     Women 4:136

Faith

So Jesus answered and said to them, "Have faith in God.

Mark 11:22  NKJV

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "The just shall live by faith."

Romans 1:16-17   NKJV

Challenge

(Challenge to find one chapter of evidence to disprove the revelation of Islam)

If you doubt what We (Allah) have revealed to Our servant (Allah’s prophet Mohamed), produce one chapter comparable to it.  Call upon your idols to assist you, if what you say be true.  But if you fail (as you are sure to fail) then guard yourselves against the Fire whose fuel is men and stones, prepared for the unbelievers.

Al-Baqarah    The Cow 2:23

Warning against Another Gospel

6 I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, 7 which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. 9 As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.

Galatians 1:6-9    NKJV

Taught by pen

Your Lord is the Most Bountiful One who by the pen taught man what he did not know.

Introduction page 2 and

Al-‘Alaq    Clots of Blood    96:3-5

Taught by God Himself in commandments

Yehowah talked to Israel face to face on the mountain from the midst of the fire giving them the ten commandments.  Moses stood between Yehowah and the people because the people were afraid of the fire and did not go up to the mountain.

Deuteronomy 5:1-21

Koran confirms Scripture

Have faith in My revelations which confirm your scriptures.

Al-Baqarah    The Cow 2:41

(Thus he validates the Jews Scriptures).

(Yet in the introduction they said that the Jews corrupted the Scriptures)  Introduction page 2

The Koran coming 690 years after Christ, puts forth another Gospel, another Christ, another Spirit, and another Jesus, fulfilling Bible prophecy.  It gives no evidence or reason for most of the commandments.  Just calls for blind submission.

Confirmation fails in the Koran

As for confirmation, changing the story and the message does not confirm anything.

Warning against different Gospel

The Bible warns us to guard against people coming with another gospel, another spirit, another Christ and another Jesus.

2 Corinthians 11:13-14, Galatians 1:6-9

The Bible gives both evidence and reason.

Confirming Scriptures, Torah and Gospel?

We have revealed the Torah, in which there is guidance and light.  By it the prophets who surrendered themselves judged the Jews, and so did the rabbis and the divines, according to God's Book which had been committed to their keeping and to which they themselves were witnesses.

Have no fear of man; fear Me, and do not sell My revelations for a paltry sum.  Unbelievers are those who do not judge according to Allah's revelations.

We decreed for them a life for a life, an eye for an eye, a nose for a nose, an ear for an ear, a tooth for a tooth, and a wound for a wound.  But if a man charitably forbears from retaliation, his remission shall atone for him.  Transgressors are those that do not judge according to Allah's revelations.

After them We sent forth Jesus son of Mary, confirming the Torah already revealed, and gave him the Gospel, in which there is guidance and light, corroborating what was revealed before it in the Torah: a guide and an admonition to the righteous.  Therefore let those who follow the Gospel judge according to what Allah has revealed therein.  Evil doers are those that do not judge according to Allah's revelations.

Al-Maidah      The Table 5:44-47

And to you We have revealed the Book with the truth.  It confirms the Scriptures which came before it and stands as a guardian over them.  Therefore give judgment among men according to Allah's revelations, and do not yield to their whims or swerve from the truth made known to you.

Al-Maidah      The Table 5:48

Torah and the Gospel

If the people of the Book accept the true faith and keep from evil, We will pardon them their sins and admit them to the gardens of delight.  If they observe the Torah and the Gospel and what has been revealed to them from the Lord, they shall enjoy abundance from above and from beneath.

There are some among them who are righteous men; but there are many among them who do nothing but evil.

Al-Maidah      The Table 5:65-66

Koran a blessed Book

This (Koran) is a blessed Book which We have revealed, confirming what came before it (Scriptures),

Al-An’am       Cattle     6:92

Scriptures

To Moses We gave the Scriptures, a perfect code for the righteous with precepts about all things, a guide and a benison (blessing or benediction), so that they might believe in meeting their Lord.  And now We have revealed this Book truly blessed.  Observe it and keep from evil, so that you may find mercy and not say: "The Scriptures were revealed only to two communities (Jews and Christians) before us;  we have no knowledge of what they read." Or "Had the Scriptures been revealed to us we would have been better guided than they."

A veritable sign has now come to you from your Lord, a guide and a benison.  And who is more wicked than the man who denies the revelations of Allah and turns away from them:  Those that turn away from Our revelations shall be sternly punished for their indifference.

Al-An’am       Cattle     6:154-157

Eye for Eye

23 But if any harm follows, then you shall give life for life, 24 eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot,

Exodus 21:23-24  NKJV

19 If a man causes disfigurement of his neighbor, as he has done, so shall it be done to him-- 20 fracture for fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth; as he has caused disfigurement of a man, so shall it be done to him.

Leviticus 24:19-20  NKJV

21 Your eye shall not pity; but life shall be for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot.

Deuteronomy 19:21  NKJV

38 "You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.'  39 But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. 40 If anyone wants to sue you and take away your tunic, let him have your cloak also. 41 And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two. 42 Give to him who asks you, and from him who wants to borrow from you do not turn away.

Matthew 5:38-42  NKJV

43 "You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.'  44 But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, 45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. 46 For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? 47 And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so? 48 Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.

Matthew 5:43-48  NKJV

35 And he who has seen has testified, and his testimony is true; and he knows that he is telling the truth, so that you may believe. 36 For these things were done that the Scripture should be fulfilled,

John 19:35-36    NKJV

22 But the Scripture has confined all under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe. 23 But before faith came, we were kept under guard by the law, kept for the faith which would afterward be revealed. 24 Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25 But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor.

26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Galatians 3:22-29    NKJV

16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

2 Tim 3:16-17    NKJV

16 For we did not follow cunningly devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of His majesty. 17 For He received from God the Father honor and glory when such a voice came to Him from the Excellent Glory: "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." 18 And we heard this voice which came from heaven when we were with Him on the holy mountain. 19 And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts; 20 knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, 21 for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

2 Peter 1:16-21    NKJV

Changing Scriptures

(Mohamed wrote), Woe betide those that write the scriptures with their own hands and then declare: 'This is from Allah,"  in order to gain some paltry end.  Woeful shall be their fate, because of what their hands have written, because of what they did.

Al-Baqarah    The Cow 2:79

Changing Scriptures

If We abrogate a verse or cause it to be forgotten, We will replace it by a better one or one similar.

Al-Baqarah    The Cow 2:106

(Then he proceeds to rewrite the scriptures and change the story so it is not even recognizable.  He gives no evidence or reason, but only demands blind faith and obedience).

Changing Scriptures

Who is more wicked than the man who invents a falsehood about God or denies His revelations?  Such men shall have their destined share, and when Our angels come to claim back their souls they shall say:  "Where are your idols now, those whom you invoked besides God?"

"They have forsaken us," they will answer, and will confess that they were unbelievers.

He will say:  "Enter the Fire and join the communities of jinn and men that have gone before you."

Al-A’raf      The Heights   7:37-38

Changing Scriptures forbidden

The Bible warns us to guard against people coming with another gospel, spirit, another Christ and another Jesus.

2 Corinthians 11:13-14, Galatians 1:6-8

The Bible says not to change the scriptures.

14 I know that whatever God does, It shall be forever.

Nothing can be added to it, And nothing taken from it.

God does it, that men should fear before Him.

Ecclesiastes 3:14    NKJV

4:1 "Now, O Israel, listen to the statutes and the judgments which I teach you to observe, that you may live, and go in and possess the land which the LORD God of your fathers is giving you. 2 You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take anything from it, that you may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

Deuteronomy 4:1-3   NKJV

29 "When the LORD your God cuts off from before you the nations which you go to dispossess, and you displace them and dwell in their land, 30 take heed to yourself that you are not ensnared to follow them, after they are destroyed from before you, and that you do not inquire after their gods, saying, 'How did these nations serve their gods? I also will do likewise.' 31 "You shall not worship the LORD your God in that way; for every abomination to the LORD which He hates they have done to their gods; for they burn even their sons and daughters in the fire to their gods. 32 Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it; you shall not add to it nor take away from it.

Deuteronomy 12:29-32   NKJV

5 Every word of God is pure;

He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him.

6 Do not add to His words,

Lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar.

Proverbs 30:5-6   NKJV

18 For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Revelation 22:18-19    NKJV

Hidden things

It is He who has revealed to you the Book.  Some of its verses are precise in meaning - they are the foundation of the Book - and others ambiguous.  Those whose hearts are infected with disbelief observe the ambiguous part, so as to create dissension by seeking to explain it.  But no one knows its meaning except Allah.  Those who are well grounded in knowledge say:  “We believe in it:  it is all from our Lord.  But only the wise take heed.

Al-I-Imran    The Imrans  3:7

Hidden things

"The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.

Deuteronomy 29:29   NKJV

But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.

1 Corinthians 2:10  NKJV

Revealed Will of Allah

We have revealed Our will to you as We revealed it to Noah and the prophets who came after him; as We revealed it to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the tribes; to Jesus, Job, Jonah, Aaron, Solomon, and David, to whom We gave the Psalms.  Of some apostles We have already told you, but there are others of whom We have not yet spoken (Allah spoke directly to Moses): apostles who brought good news to mankind and admonished them, so that they might have no plea against Allah after their coming.  Allah is mighty and wise.

An-Nisaa     Women 4:163-165

Revealed will of God

3 For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality; 4 that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, 5 not in passion of lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God; 6 that no one should take advantage of and defraud his brother in this matter, because the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also forewarned you and testified. 7 For God did not call us to uncleanness, but in holiness. 8 Therefore he who rejects this does not reject man, but God, who has also given us His Holy Spirit.

1 Thessalonians 4:2-8    NKJV

15 For this is the will of God, that by doing good you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men-- 16 as free, yet not using liberty as a cloak for vice, but as bondservants of God. 17 Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king.

1 Peter 2:15-17    NKJV

Face Mecca

Many a time have We seen you turn your face towards the sky.  We will make you turn towards a Qiblah that will please you.  Turn your face towards (Mecca) the Holy Mosque;  wherever you be, turn your faces towards it.

Al-Baqarah    The Cow   2:144

Which ever way you depart, face toward the Holy Mosque (Mecca).  This is surely the truth from your Lord.  Allah is never heedless of what you do.  Whichever way you depart, face towards the Holy Mosque:  and wherever you are, face towards it, so that men will have no cause to reproach you, except the evildoers among them.  Have no fear of them;  fear Me, so that I may perfect My favor to you and that you may be rightly guided.

Al-Baqarah    The Cow  2:149-150

Face Jerusalem

Solomon's prayer suggested that wherever one travels when they pray they should pray toward the Temple in Jerusalem.

1 Kings 8:22-53, 2 Chronicles 6:1-42

There is no commandment from God in the Bible to face in any direction when praying.  However Daniel faced Jerusalem when he prayed.

And during the Kingdom age Zechariah said:

Yes, many peoples and strong nations

Shall come to seek the LORD of hosts in Jerusalem,

And to pray before the LORD.'

Zechariah  8:22   NKJV

The Righteous Man

The righteous man is he who:

1.     Believes in Allah and the Last Day, in angels and the Book (Koran) and the prophets (including Mohamed).

2.     Who, though he loves it dearly, gives away his wealth to kinsfolk, to orphans, to the destitute, to the traveler in need, and to beggars, and for the redemption of captives.

3.     Who attends to his prayers

4.     Renders the alms levy.

5.     Who is true to his promises.

6.     Steadfast in trial and adversity and in times of war.

Such are the true believers, such are the Allah fearing.

Al-Baqarah    The Cow  2:177

Pure religion

26 If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one's religion is useless. 27 Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.

James 1:26-27    NKJV

He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you  But to do justly,

To love mercy,

And to walk humbly with your God?

Micah 6:8    NKJV

Righteousness

Let there become of you a community that shall call for righteousness, enjoin justice, and forbid evil.  Such men will surely triumph.

Al-I-Imran    The Imrans 3:104

You are the noblest community ever raised up for mankind.  You enjoin justice and forbid evil.  You believe in Allah..

Al-I-Imran    The Imrans    3:110

Yet they are not all alike.  There are among the People of the Book some upright men who all night long recite the revelations of Allah and worship Him; who believe in Allah and the Last Day; who enjoin justice and forbid evil and vie with each other in good works.  These are righteous men:  whatever good they do, its reward shall not be denied them.  Allah well knows the righteous.

Al-I-Imran    The Imrans  3:113-115

Righteousness

And the LORD said, "Shall I hide from Abraham what I am doing, since Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?  For I have known him, in order that he may command his children and his household after him, that they keep the way of the LORD, to do righteousness and justice, that the LORD may bring to Abraham what He has spoken to him."

Genesis 18:17-20  NKJV

He has shown you, O man, what is good;

And what does the LORD require of you

Y      But to do justly,

Y      To love mercy,

Y      And to walk humbly with your God?

Micah 6:8  NKJV

Then Peter opened his mouth and said: "In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality.  But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him.

Acts 10:34-35    NKJV

Righteousness Duties

Attend to your prayers morning and evening, and in the night time too.  Good deeds shall make amends for sins.  That is an admonition for thoughtful men.  Therefore have patience; Allah will not deny the righteous their reward.

Hud 11:114-115

Worship ritual

You that are true believers, kneel and prostrate yourselves.  Worship your Lord and do good works, so that you may triumph.

Fight for the cause of Allah with the devotion due to Him.  He has chosen you, and laid on you no burdens in the observance of your faith, the faith of Abraham your father.  In this, as in former scriptures, He has given you the name of Muslims, so that the Apostle may testify against you, and that you yourselves may testify against your fellow men.

Therefore attend to your prayers, render the alms levy, and hold fast to Allah;  for He is your Guardian.  A gracious guardian and a gracious helper!

Al-Hajj       Pilgrimage  22:77-78

Ritual of true believers

Blessed are the believers, who are humble in their prayers; who avoid profane talk, and give alms to the destitute;  who restrain their carnal desires (except with their wives and slave girls, for these are lawful to them:  transgressors are those who lust after other than these); who are true to their trusts and promises, and diligent in their prayers.  These are the heirs of Paradise; they shall abide in it for ever.

Al-Muminun      The Believers  23:1-11

Righteousness accepted by God

21 But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, 22 even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference; 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25 whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, 26 to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.

Romans 3:21-26    NKJV

17 Since you call on a Father who judges each man's work impartially, live your lives as strangers here in reverent fear. 18 For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers, 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. 20 He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake. 21 Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God.

1 Peter 1:17-21    NIV

8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Ephesians 2:8-10    NKJV

Duties of true believers

The most important duties of the Muslim are faith in Allah and His apostle, prayer, almsgiving, fasting, and pilgrimage to the Sacred House at Mecca built by Abraham for the worship of the One God

Introduction page 2

Duty of man

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

Ecclesiastes 12:13   KJV

What doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God

Micah 6:8?     KJV

Religious form

Attend to your prayers, render the alms levy, and obey the Apostle, so that you may be shown mercy.

Never think that the unbelievers can escape their fate in this world.  The Fire shall be their home:  an evil end.

Al-Nur      Light 24:56-57

Pray for one another

13 Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms. 14 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. 16 Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

James 5:13-16    NKJV

Prayer times

Recite your prayers at sunset, at nightfall, and at dawn;  the dawn prayer has its witnesses.  Pray during the night as well;  an additional duty, for the fulfillment of which your Lord exalt you to an honorable station.

Al-Israa    The Night Journey  17:78-79

Prayer times

But for a Word from your Lord, long since decreed, their destruction in this life would have been certain.  Therefore bear with what they say.  Give glory to your Lord before sunrise and before sunset.  Praise Him night and day, so that you may find comfort.

Ta’ Ha’   20:129-130

Enjoin Prayer

Enjoin prayer on your people and be diligent in its observance.  We demand of you no provision:  We shall Our self provide for you.  Blessed shall be the end of the devout.

Ta’ Ha’    20:132

Prayer acceptable to God

5 "And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. 6 But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. 7 And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words.

Matthew 6:5-7    NKJV

8 I desire therefore that the men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting;

1 Timothy 2:8    NKJV

Faithful of Allah your only protectors

Your only protectors are Allah, His apostle (Mohamed), and the faithful: those who attend to their prayers, render the alms levy, and kneel down in worship.  Those who seek the protection of Allah, His apostle, and the faithful must know that Allah's followers are sure to triumph.

Al-Maidah      The Table 5:55-56

Form of godliness

:1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!

2 Timothy 3:1-5    NKJV

True Believers

They ask you about the spoils, Say:  "The spoils belong to Allah and the Apostle.  Therefore have fear of Allah and end your disputes.  Obey Allah and His apostle, if you are true believers.

The true believers are those whose hearts are filled with awe at the mention of Allah, and whose faith grows stronger as they listen to His revelations.  They are those who put their trust in their Lord, pray steadfastly, and give in alms from what We gave them.  Such are the true believers.  They will be exalted and forgiven by their Lord, and a generous provision shall be made for them.

An-Anfal      The Spoils     8:1-4

The faithful and wise servant

45 "Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season? 46 Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing. 47 Assuredly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all his goods. 48 But if that evil servant says in his heart, 'My master is delaying his coming,' 49 "and begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards, 50 the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him and at an hour that he is not aware of, 51 and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Matthew 24:45-51   NKJV

True believers

Those that have embraced the Faith and fled their homes and fought for the cause of Allah, and those that have sheltered them and helped them -- they are the true believers.  Forgiveness and a gracious provision await them.

Those that have since embraced the Faith and fled their homes and fought with you - they too are your brothers;  although according to the Book of Allah those who are bound by ties of blood are nearest to one another.  Allah has knowledge of all things.

An-Anfal      The Spoils 8:74-75

True religion

26 If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one's religion is useless. 27 Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.

James 1:26-27   NKJV

True believers

Allah has purchased from the faithful their lives and worldly goods, and in return has promised them the Garden.  They will fight for the cause of Allah, they will slay and be slain.  Such is the true promise which He has made them in the Torah, the Gospel, and the Koran.  And who is more true to his pledge than Allah?  Rejoice then in the bargain you have made.  That is the supreme triumph.

Those that repent and those that serve and praise Him; those that fast and those that kneel and prostrate themselves;  those that enjoin justice, forbid evil, and observe the commandments of Allah shall be richly recompensed.  Proclaim the good tidings to the faithful.

At-Touba    Repentance 9:111-112

Believers, make war on the infidels who dwell around you.  Deal firmly with them.  Know that Allah is with the righteous.

At-Touba    Repentance 9:122-123

True Believers

The true believers, both men and women, are friends to one another.  They enjoin what is just and forbid what is evil;  they attend to their prayers, and render the alms  levy, and obey Allah and His apostle.  On these Allah will have mercy.  Allah is mighty and wise.

At-Touba    Repentance 9:71

Be holy

13 Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; 14 as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; 15 but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct,

16 because it is written, "Be holy, for I am holy."  17 And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one's work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear; 18 knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. 20 He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you 21 who through Him believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.

22 Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart, 23 having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever,

1 Peter 1:13-23    NKJV

20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.

 1 Corinthians 6:20    NKJV

Unbelievers repentance, fall, and war

If an idolater seeks asylum with you, give him protection so that he may hear the Word of Allah, and then convey him to safety.  For idolaters are ignorant men.....

At-Touba    Repentance 9:6

If they repent and take to prayer and render the alms levy, they shall become your brothers in the Faith.  Thus do We make plain Our revelations to men of knowledge.

But if, after coming to terms with you, they break their oaths, and revile your faith, make war on the leaders of unbelief - for no oaths are binding with them - so that they may desist.

Will you not fight against those who have broken the oaths and conspired to banish the Apostle?  They were the first to attack you  Do you fear them?

Surely Allah is more deserving of your fear, if you are true believers.

Make war on them:  Allah will chastise them at your hands and humble them.  He will grant you victory over them and heal the spirit of the faithful.  He will take away all rancor from their hearts:  Allah shows mercy to whom He pleases.  Allah is all knowing and wise.

At-Touba    Repentance 9:11-15

One who falls from the faith

4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, 5 and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, 6 if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.

Hebrews 6:4-6    NKJV

3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.

2 Timothy 4:3-4    NKJV

9 I wrote to you in my epistle not to keep company with sexually immoral people. 10 Yet I certainly did not mean with the sexually immoral people of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world. 11 But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner--not even to eat with such a person. 12 For what have I to do with judging those also who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside? 13 But those who are outside God judges. Therefore "put away from yourselves the evil person."

1 Corinthians 5:9-13    NKJV

Covenant with Israel

Allah made a covenant with the Israelites and raised among them twelve chieftains.  Allah said:  "I shall be with you.  If you attend to your prayers and render the alms levy; if you believe in My apostles and assist them and give Allah a generous loan, I shall forgive you your sins and admit you to gardens watered by running streams.  But he that hereafter denies Me shall stray from the right path.

Al-Maidah      The Table  5:12

Covenant - Circumcision, Obedience

9 And God said to Abraham: "As for you, you shall keep My covenant, you and your descendants after you throughout their generations. 10 This is My covenant which you shall keep, between Me and you and your descendants after you: Every male child among you shall be circumcised; 11 and you shall be circumcised in the flesh of your foreskins, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between Me and you. 12 He who is eight days old among you shall be circumcised, every male child in your generations, he who is born in your house or bought with money from any foreigner who is not your descendant. 13 He who is born in your house and he who is bought with your money must be circumcised, and My covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant. 14 And the uncircumcised male child, who is not circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin, that person shall be cut off from his people; he has broken My covenant."

Genesis 17:9-14  NKJV

Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine.

Exodus 19:4-5  NKJV

Ramadan

In the month of Ramadan the Koran was revealed, a book of guidance for mankind with proofs of guidance distinguishing right from wrong.  Therefore whoever of you is present in that month let him fast.  The Cow 2:183  page 28

Passover

Israelites are commanded to celebrate with a feast the day they were delivered from bondage in Egypt.

Exodus 13:3-10,  Deuteronomy 16:1-4

And Moses said to the people: "Remember this day in which you went out of Egypt, out of the house of bondage;

Exodus 13:3  NKJV

Also they celebrate a feast on the Day of Pentecost which is 50 days after Passover the day they left Egypt.

Day the Law was given

No call to fast or celebrate on the month or day the Law was given to Israel.  However

They came to Mount Sinai on the third month after they left Egypt and there they received the Law.  No feast or fast was called for but they were commanded to wash their clothing and avoid sex to sanctify themselves.

Exodus 19:1-15

Holy months and war

When the sacred months are over slay the idolaters wherever you find them.  Arrest them, besiege them, and lie in ambush everywhere for them.

If they repent and take to prayer and render the alms levy, allow them to go their way.  Allah is forgiving and merciful.

At-Touba    Repentance 9:5

Destroy the 7 nations from your Inheritance

12 Take heed to yourself, lest you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land where you are going, lest it be a snare in your midst. 13 But you shall destroy their altars, break their sacred pillars, and cut down their wooden images 14(for you shall worship no other god, for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God), 15 lest you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they play the harlot with their gods and make sacrifice to their gods, and one of them invites you and you eat of his sacrifice, 16 and you take of his daughters for your sons, and his daughters play the harlot with their gods and make your sons play the harlot with their gods. 17 You shall make no molded gods for yourselves.

Exodus 34:12-17   NKJV

Death to the enemies of Allah

Those that make war against Allah and His apostle and spread disorder in the land shall be slain or crucified or have their hands and feet cut off on alternate sides, or be banished from the land.  They shall be held up to shame in this world and sternly punished in the hereafter:  except those that repent before you reduce them.  For you must know that Allah is forgiving and merciful.

Al-Maidah      The Table 5:33-34

Love your enemies

44 But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, 45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. 46 For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? 47 And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so? 48 Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.

Matthew 5:44-48    NKJV

Fight for Allah

Fight for the sake of Allah those that fight against you, but do not attack them first.  Allah does not love aggressors.

Slay them wherever you find them.  Drive them out of the places from which they drove you.  Idolatry is more grievous than bloodshed.  But do not fight them within the precincts of the Holy Mosque unless they attack you there;  if they attack you put them to the sword.  Thus shall the unbelievers be rewarded;:  but if they mend their ways, know that Allah is forgiving and merciful.

Al-Baqarah    The Cow 2:190-192

Fight against them until idolatry is no more and Allah's religion reigns supreme.  But if they desist, fight none except the evil doers.

Al-Baqarah    The Cow 2:193

Destroy the occupants of the Land

7:1 "When the LORD your God brings you into the land which you go to possess, and has cast out many nations before you, the Hittites and the Girgashites and the Amorites and the Canaanites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than you, 2 and when the LORD your God delivers them over to you, you shall conquer them and utterly destroy them. You shall make no covenant with them nor show mercy to them. 3 Nor shall you make marriages with them. You shall not give your daughter to their son, nor take their daughter for your son. 4 For they will turn your sons away from following Me, to serve other gods; so the anger of the LORD will be aroused against you and destroy you suddenly. 5 But thus you shall deal with them: you shall destroy their altars, and break down their sacred pillars, and cut down their wooden images, and burn their carved images with fire.

6 "For you are a holy people to the LORD your God; the LORD your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth.

Deuteronomy 7:1-6   NKJV

Fight for the cause of Allah

Let those who would exchange the life of this world for the hereafter, fight for the cause of Allah;  whoever fights for the cause of Allah, whether he dies or triumphs, on him We shall bestow a rich recompense.

And how should you not fight for the cause of Allah, and for the helpless old men, women, and children who say:  “Deliver us, Lord, from this city of wrongdoers;  send forth to us a guardian from Your presence;  send to us from Your presence one that will help us”?

The true believers fight for the cause of Allah, but the infidels fight for the devil..  Fight then against the friends of Satan.  Satan's cunning is weak indeed.

An-Nisaa     Women    4:74-76

Therefore fight for the cause of Allah.  You are accountable for none but yourself.  Rouse the faithful: perchance Allah will overthrow the might of the unbelievers.  Mightier is Allah and more terrible is His punishment.

An-Nisaa     Women 4:84

Fight for the cause of Allah

Believers, show discernment when you go to fight for the cause of Allah, and do not say to those that offer you peace:  "You are not believers,"..........

An-Nisaa     Women 4:94

He that leaves his home in the cause of Allah shall find many a refuge in the land and great abundance.   He that leaves his dwelling to fight for Allah and His apostle and is then overtaken by death shall be recompensed by Allah.  Surely Allah is forgiving and merciful.

An-Nisaa     Women 4:100

Seek out the enemy relentlessly.  If you have suffered, they too have suffered: but you at least hope to receive from Allah what they cannot hope for.  Allah is all knowing and wise.

An-Nisaa     Women 4:104

Fighting for the cause of God

36 Jesus answered, "My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here."

John 18:36-37    NKJV

11 But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness. 12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. 13 I urge you in the sight of God who gives life to all things, and before Christ Jesus who witnessed the good confession before Pontius Pilate, 14 that you keep this commandment without spot, blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ's appearing, 15 which He will manifest in His own time, He who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords, 16 who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. Amen.

1 Timothy 6:11-16    NKJV

6 For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. 7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.

2 Timothy 4:6-8    NKJV

Fight for Allah

Believers, have fear of Allah and seek the right path to Him.  Fight valiantly for His cause, so that you may triumph.

As for the unbelievers, if they offered all that the earth contains and as much besides to redeem themselves from the torment of the Day of Resurrection, it shall not be accepted from them.  Woeful punishment awaits them.  They will strive to get out of the Fire, but get out of it they shall not.  Lasting punishment awaits them.

Al-Maidah      The Table 5:35-37

They will think they do God a service

16:1 "These things I have spoken to you, that you should not be made to stumble. 2 They will put you out of the synagogues; yes, the time is coming that whoever kills you will think that he offers God service.

John 16:1-2    NKJV

Fighting for the cause of Allah

Do you pretend that he who gives a drink to the pilgrims and pays a visit to the Sacred Mosque is as worthy as the man who believes in Allah and the Last Day, and fights for Allah's cause?  These are not held equal by Allah.  Allah does not guide the wrongdoers.

Those that have embraced the Faith, and left their homes, and fought for Allah's cause with their wealth and with their persons, are held in higher regard by Allah.  It is they who shall triumph.  Their Lord has promised them mercy from Himself, and His pleasure and gardens of eternal bliss where they shall dwell for ever.  Allah's recompense is great indeed.

Say, "If your fathers, your sons, your brothers, your wives, your tribes, the property you have acquired, the merchandise you fear may not be sold, and the homes you love, are dearer to you than Allah, His apostle and the struggle for His cause, then wait until Allah shall fulfill His decree.  Allah does not guide the evil doers.......

At-Touba    Repentance 9:19-24

Fight against such of those to whom the Scriptures were given as believe in neither Allah nor the Last Day, who do not forbid what Allah and His apostle have forbidden, and do not embrace the true Faith, until they pay tribute out of hand and are utterly subdued.

The Jews say Ezra is the son of God, while the Christians say the Messiah is the son of God.  Such are their assertions, by which they imitate the infidels of old.  Allah confounded them!  How perverse they are!

They make their clerics and their monks, and of the Messiah, the son of Mary, Lords besides Allah; though they were ordered to serve one God only.  There is no god but Him.  Exalted be He above those they deify besides Him!...........

At-Touba    Repentance 9:29-31

Believers, why is it that when you are told:  “March in the cause of Allah,” you linger slothfully in the land?  Are you content with this life in preference to the life to come?  Few indeed are the blessings of this life, compared with those of the life to come.

If you do not go to war, He will punish you sternly and will replace you by other men.  You will in no way harm Him: for Allah has power over all things......

At-Touba    Repentance 9:38-39

Whether unarmed or well equipped, march on and fight for the cause of Allah, with your wealth and with your persons.  This will be best for you, if you but knew it.....

At-Touba    Repentance 9:41

Those that believe in Allah and the Last Day will not beg you to exempt them from fighting with their wealth and with their persons.  Allah best knows the righteous.  Only those seek exemption who disbelieve in Allah and the Last Day, and whose hearts are filled with doubt because they doubt, they waver.

At-Touba    Repentance 9:44-45

Coming of the Kingdom of God

20 Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, "The kingdom of God does not come with observation; 21 nor will they say, 'See here!' or 'See there!' For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you." 22 Then He said to the disciples, "The days will come when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it. 23 And they will say to you, 'Look here!' or 'Look there!' Do not go after them or follow them. 24 For as the lightning that flashes out of one part under heaven shines to the other part under heaven, so also the Son of Man will be in His day. 25 But first He must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation. 26 And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: 27 They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. 28 Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; 29 but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. 30 Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed. 31 In that day, he who is on the housetop, and his goods are in the house, let him not come down to take them away. And likewise the one who is in the field, let him not turn back. 32 Remember Lot's wife. 33 Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it. 34 I tell you, in that night there will be two men in one bed: the one will be taken and the other will be left. 35 Two women will be grinding together: the one will be taken and the other left. 36 Two men will be in the field: the one will be taken and the other left." 37 And they answered and said to Him, "Where, Lord?" So He said to them, "Wherever the body is, there the eagles will be gathered together."

Luke 17:20-37    NKJV

War

Permission to take up arms is hereby given to those who are attacked, because they have been wronged.  Allah has power to grant them victory:  those who have been unjustly driven from their homes, only because they said:  “Our Lord is Allah.”  Had Allah not defended some men by the might of others, monasteries and churches, synagogues and mosques in which His praise is daily celebrated, would have been utterly destroyed.  But whoever helps Allah shall be helped by Him.  Allah is powerful and mighty:  He will assuredly help those who, once made masters in the land, will attend to their prayers and render the alms levy, enjoin justice and forbid evil.  Allah governs the destiny of all things.

Al-Hajj       Pilgrimage  22:39-41

World Salvation by Faith

3 No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven. 14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. 18 He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

John 3:13-18    NKJV

Unbelievers and war

Tell the unbelievers that if they mend their ways their past shall be forgiven; but if they persist in sin, let them reflect upon the fate of bygone nations.

Make war on them until idolatry shall cease and Allah's religion shall reign supreme.  If they desist, Allah is cognizant of all their actions; but if they pay no heed, know then that Allah will protect you.  He is the noblest Helper and the noblest Protector.

An-Anfal      The Spoils  8:38-40

Save Unbelievers

19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.

Matthew 28:19-20   NKJV

9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

2 Peter 3:9    NKJV

Prayers when unclean

Believers, do not approach your prayers when you are drunk, but wait till you can grasp the meaning of your words; nor when you are unclean - unless you are traveling the road - until you have washed yourselves.  If you are sick or on a journey, or if, when you have relieved yourselves or had intercourse with women, you can find no water, take some clean sand and rub your faces and your hands with it.  Gracious is Allah and forgiving.

An-Nisaa     Women  4:43

Works of the Flesh

19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Galatians 5:19-21    NKJV

Cleansing from uncleanliness

Believers, when you rise to pray wash your faces and your hands as far as the elbow, and wipe your heads and your feet to the ankle.  If you are unclean, cleanse yourselves.

But if you are sick or on a journey, or if, when you have just relieved yourselves or hand intercourse with women, you can find no water, take some clean sand and rub your faces and your hands with it.  Allah does not wish to burden you; He seeks only to purify you and to perfect His favor to you, so that you may give thanks.

Al-Maidah      The Table  5:6

Cleansing from sin is God's doing

29 "This shall be a statute forever for you: In the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, you shall afflict your souls, and do no work at all, whether a native of your own country or a stranger who dwells among you. 30 For on that day the priest shall make atonement for you, to cleanse you, that you may be clean from all your sins before the LORD.

Leviticus 16:29-30    NKJV

9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

1 John 1:9    NKJV

14 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.

James 5:13-15    NKJV

Israel's first king

Have you not heard what the leaders of the Israelites demanded of one of their prophets after the death of Moses?  "Raise up for us a king, and we will fight for the cause of Allah.

He replied, "What if you refuse, when ordered so to fight?"

They said, "Why should we refuse to fight for the cause of Allah when we have been driven from our dwellings and our children."

But when at last they were ordered to fight, they all refused, except a few of them.  Allah knows the evildoers.

The prophet said to them:  "God has appointed Saul to be your king."  But they replied:  "Should he be given the kingship, when we are more deserving of it then he?  Besides, he is not rich at all."

He said:  “Allah has chosen him to rule over you and made him grow in wisdom and in stature.  Allah gives His sovereignty to whom He will.  Allah is munificent and all knowing.

Al-Baqarah    The Cow    2:246-247

Israel's first king

Then all the elders of Israel gathered together and came to Samuel at Ramah, and said to him, "Look, you are old, and your sons do not walk in your ways. Now make us a king to judge us like all the nations." .....1 Sam 8:4-5

Nevertheless the people refused to obey the voice of Samuel; and they said, "No, but we will have a king over us, that we also may be like all the nations, and that our king may judge us and go out before us and fight our battles."

1 Samuel 8:19-21

God chose Saul to be Israel's first king.

1 Samuel 9:1 - 10:27

But some rebels said, "How can this man save us?" So they despised him, and brought him no presents. But he held his peace.

1 Samuel 10:27  NKJV

Basis of tranquility

The prophet said to them:  "The advent of the Ark shall be the portent of his reign.  Therefore shall be tranquility from your Lord, and the relics which the House of Moses and the House of Aaron left behind.  It will be borne by the angels.  That will be a sign for you, if you are true believers."

Al-Baqarah    The Cow    2:248

Basis of tranquility

Samuel said to all Israel:

13 Now therefore, here is the king whom you have chosen and whom you have desired. And take note, the LORD has set a king over you. 14 If you fear the LORD and serve Him and obey His voice, and do not rebel against the commandment of the LORD, then both you and the king who reigns over you will continue following the LORD your God. 15 However, if you do not obey the voice of the LORD, but rebel against the commandment of the LORD, then the hand of the LORD will be against you, as it was against your fathers.

16 "Now therefore, stand and see this great thing which the LORD will do before your eyes: 17 Is today not the wheat harvest? I will call to the LORD, and He will send thunder and rain, that you may perceive and see that your wickedness is great, which you have done in the sight of the LORD, in asking a king for yourselves." 18 So Samuel called to the LORD, and the LORD sent thunder and rain that day; and all the people greatly feared the LORD and Samuel.

19 And all the people said to Samuel, "Pray for your servants to the LORD your God, that we may not die; for we have added to all our sins the evil of asking a king for ourselves." 20 Then Samuel said to the people, "Do not fear. You have done all this wickedness; yet do not turn aside from following the LORD, but serve the LORD with all your heart. 21 And do not turn aside; for then you would go after empty things which cannot profit or deliver, for they are nothing. 22 For the LORD will not forsake His people, for His great name's sake, because it has pleased the LORD to make you His people. 23 Moreover, as for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you; but I will teach you the good and the right way. 24 Only fear the LORD, and serve Him in truth with all your heart; for consider what great things He has done for you. 25 But if you still do wickedly, you shall be swept away, both you and your king."

1 Samuel 12:13-25   NKJV

Known by their looks

You can recognize them by their look.  They never importune men for alms.  Whatever alms you give are known to Allah.

Al-Baqarah    The Cow 2:273

Known by their fruits

Therefore by their fruits you will know them.

Matthew 7:20

The only true faith in Allah's sight is Islam.

The only true faith in Allah’s sight is Islam.  Those to whom the Scriptures were given (Jews and Christians) disagree among themselves, through insolence, only after knowledge had been vouchsafed them.  He that denies Allah’s revelations should know that swift is Allah’s reckoning.

If they argue with you, say:  “I have submitted to Allah and so have those that follow me.”

To those who have received the Scriptures (Jews and Christians) and to the Gentiles say:  "Will you surrender yourselves to Allah?"  If they become Muslims they shall be rightly guided;  if they pay no heed, then your only duty is to warn them.  Allah is watching all His servants.

Al-I-Imran    The Imrans 3:19-20

He that chooses a religion other than Islam, it will not be accepted from him and in the world to come he will surely be among the losers.

Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.   John 14:6

But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed.

2 Peter 2:1-2   NKJV

Cost of Falling from Islam

Those that recant after accepting the true faith (Islam) and grow in unbelief, their repentance shall not be accepted.  These are the truly erring ones.

As for those that recant and die unbelievers, no ransom shall be accepted from them:  be it as much gold as would fill the entire earth.  Woeful punishment awaits them, and none shall help them.

Al-I-Imran    The Imrans  3:90

Cost of falling from the Faith

For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.

Hebrews 6:4-7  NKJV

Follow me

Say:  If you love Allah, follow me.  Allah is forgiving and merciful.

Al-I-Imran    The Imrans 3:31

Follow Jesus

24 Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. 25 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. 26 For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? 27 For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works.

Matthew 16:24-27   NKJV

Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.

1 Corinthians 11:1   KJV

Curse your enemies

Believers, do not make friends with any but your own people.  They will spare no pains to corrupt you.  They desire nothing but your ruin.  Their hatred is evident from what they utter with their mouths, but greater is the hatred which their breasts conceal.

We have made plain to you Our revelations.  Strive to understand them.

See how you love them and they do not love you.  You believe in the entire Book.

When they meet you they say:  We too are believers."

But when alone, they bight their fingertips with rage.

Say:  "May you perish in your rage!  Allah has knowledge of your innermost thoughts.

Al-I-Imran    The Imrans 3:118-119

Love your enemies

"But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you.

Luke 6:27-29  NKJV

But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil.  Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful.

Luke 6:35-36  NKJV

Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.

Romans 12:14  NKJV

Exalted men

Allah exalted Adam, and Noah, Abraham's descendants and the descendants of Imran (father of Mary) above the nations.  They were the offspring of one another.  Allah hears all and knows all.

Al-I-Imran    The Imrans 3:33

Exalted Israel

God promised to exalt Israel above all nations if they obeyed the commandments of God.

Deuteronomy 26:17-19, 28:1

First Temple

The first temple ever built for mankind was that at Bakkah,' a blessed site, a beacon for the nations.  In it are veritable signs and the spot Abraham stood.  Whoever enters it is safe.  Pilgrimage to the House is a duty to Allah for all who can make the journey.  As for the unbelievers, Allah can surely do without them.

Al-I-Imran    The Imrans 3:96-97

(What happened to the Sacred House built by Abraham at Mecca according to the introduction page 2 and the one built by Abraham and Ishmael described in

Al-Baqarah    The Cow 2:127)?

Abraham built no Temple

No mention of Bakkah or Mecca found in the Bible, Abraham built Altars at Shechem, between Bethel and Ai, Hebron, and Moriah,

Genesis 12:7-8, 13:3-4, 13:18, 22:1-9

Mosque visitors

It ill becomes the idolaters to visit the mosques of Allah, for they are unbelievers, self confessed.  Vain shall be their works, and in the Fire they shall abide forever.

None should visit the mosques of Allah except those who believe in Allah and the Last Day, attend to their prayers and render the alms levy and fear none but Allah.  These shall be rightly guided.

At-Touba    Repentance 9:17-18

Abraham, Sacred Mosque, Pilgrimage

When We prepared for Abraham the site of the Sacred Mosque We said.  “Worship none besides Me.  Keep My House clean for those who walk around it, and those who stand upright or kneel in worship.

Exhort all men to make the Pilgrimage.   They will come to you on foot and on the backs of swift camels from every distant quarter;  they will come to avail themselves of many a benefit, and to pronounce on the appointed days the name of Allah over the cattle which He has given them for food.  Eat of their flesh, and feed the poor and the unfortunate.

Let the pilgrims tidy themselves, make their vows, and encircle the Ancient house.  Such is Allah’s commandment.  He that reveres the sacred rites of Allah shall fare better in the sight of his Lord.

Al-Hajj       Pilgrimage  22:26-28

Mosque built with impure motives

There are those who built a mosque from mischievous motives, to spread unbelief and disunite the faithful, in expectation of him who had made war on Allah and His apostle.  They swear that their intentions were good, but Allah bears witness that they are lying.  You shall not set foot in it.  It is more fitting that you should pray in a mosque founded on piety from the very first.  There you shall find men who would keep themselves pure.  Allah loves those that purify themselves.

At-Touba    Repentance 9:107-108

Reward - Paradise

Obey Allah and the Apostle (Mohamed) that you may find mercy.  Vie with each other to earn the forgiveness of your Lord and a Paradise as vast as heaven and earth, prepared for the righteous: those who give alms alike in prosperity and in adversity; who curb their anger and forgive their fellow men (Allah loves the charitable); who if they commit evil or wrong their souls, remember Allah and seek forgiveness for their sins (for who but Allah can forgive sins?) and do not knowingly persist in their misdeeds.

These shall be rewarded with forgiveness from their Lord and with gardens watered by running streams, where they shall dwell for ever.  Blessed is the reward of those who do good works.

Al-I-Imran    The Imrans  3:132-136

True Believers and their rewards

The true believers, both men and women, are friends to one another.  They enjoin what is just and forbid what is evil;  they attend to their prayers, and render the alms  levy, and obey Allah and His apostle.  On these Allah will have mercy.  Allah is mighty and wise.

Allah has promised the men and women who believe in Him gardens watered by running streams, in which they shall abide for ever:   godly mansions in the gardens of Eden: and, what is more, they shall have grace in Allah's sight.  That is the supreme triumph.

At-Touba    Repentance 9:71-72

Kingdom of Heaven

31 "When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. 32 All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. 33 And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then the King will say to those on His right hand, 'Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

35 for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; 36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.' 37 "Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? 38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? 39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?' 40 "And the King will answer and say to them, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.'

Matthew 25:31-40    NKJV

41 For whoever gives you a cup of water to drink in My name, because you belong to Christ, assuredly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward.

Mark 9:41    NKJV

Martyrs

If you have suffered a defeat, so did the enemy.  We alternate these vicissitudes among mankind so that Allah may know the true believers and choose martyrs from among you (Allah does not love the evil doers); and that Allah may test the faithful and annihilate the infidels.......

Al-I-Imran    The Imrans  3:140-14

Rewards

No one dies unless Allah wills.  The term of every life is fixed.  He that desires the reward of this world shall have it, and he that desires the reward of the life to come shall have it also.  We will surely recompense the thankful.

Al-I-Imran    The Imrans  3:145

Those that fled their homes or were expelled from them, and those that suffer persecution for My sake and fought and were slain:  I shall forgive them their sins and admit them to gardens watered by running streams, as a recompense from Allah;  Allah dispenses the richest recompense.   Al-I-Imran    The Imrans  3:195

Martyrs

And when the blood of Your martyr Stephen was shed, I also was standing by consenting to his death, and guarding the clothes of those who were killing him.'  "Then He said to me, 'Depart, for I will send you far from here to the Gentiles.' "

Acts 22:20-21  NKJV

"I know your works, and where you dwell, where Satan's throne is. And you hold fast to My name, and did not deny My faith even in the days in which Antipas was My faithful martyr, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells.

Revelation 2:13-14  NKJV

I saw the woman, drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. And when I saw her, I marveled with great amazement.

Revelation 17:6  NKJV

For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.

Matthew 16:25  NKJV

Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it.

Luke 17:33  NKJV

Reward of the Righteous

Truly none will take heed but the wise:

³      those who keep faith with Allah and do not break their pledge;

³      Who join together what Allah has bidden to be united;

³      Who fear their Lord and dread the terrors  of an evil reckoning;

³      Who for the sake of Allah endure with fortitude.

³      Attend to their prayers;

³      Give alms in private and in public;

³      And who ward off evil with good.

These shall have the recompense of Paradise.  They shall enter the gardens of Eden, together with the righteous among their fathers, their spouses, and their descendants.

From every gate the angels will come in to them, saying, "Peace be to you, for all that you have steadfastly endured.  Blessed is the recompense of Paradise."

Al-Ra’d     Thunder  13:20-24

Rewards

6:1 "Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven. 2 Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. 3 But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly.

Matthew 6:1-4     NKJV

16 "Moreover, when you fast, do not be like the hypocrites, with a sad countenance. For they disfigure their faces that they may appear to men to be fasting. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. 17 But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, 18 so that you do not appear to men to be fasting, but to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.

Matthew 6:16-18    NKJV

Honor your Mother

Fear Allah, in whose name you plead, and honor the mothers who bore you.  Allah is ever watching you.

An-Nisaa     Women     4:1

Honor your father and Mother

"Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the LORD your God is giving you.

Exodus 20:12  NKJV

Jews and Christians

Believers, take neither the Jews nor the Christians for your friends.  They are friends with one another.  Whoever of you seeks their friendship shall become one of their number.  Allah does not guide the wrongdoers.....

Al-Maidah      The Table 5:51

Friendship with infidels - Jews & Christians

Believers, do not seek the friendship of the infidels and those who were given the Book before you (Jews and Christians), who have made of your religion a jest and a diversion.  Have fear of Allah, if you are true believers.  When you call them to pray, they treat their prayers as a jest and a diversion.  This is because they are devoid of understanding.

Say: "People of the Book, is it not that you hate us only because we believe in Allah and in what has been revealed to us and to others before, and because most of you are evil doers?"

Say:  "Shall I tell you who will receive a worse reward from Allah?  Those whom Allah has cursed and with whom He has been angry, transforming them into apes and swine, and those who serve the devil.  Worse is the plight of these, and they have strayed farther from the right path.

When they came to you they said:  “We are believers.”  Indeed, infidels they came and infidels they departed.  Allah knew best what they concealed.

You see many among them vie with one another in sin and wickedness and practice what is unlawful.  Evil is what they do.

Why do their rabbis and divines not forbid them to blaspheme or to practice what is unlawful?  Evil indeed are their doings.

Al-Maidah      The Table  5:57-63

Jews

The Jews say:  Allah's hand is chained."  May their own hands be chained!  May they be cursed for what they say!  By no means.  His hands are both outstretched:  He bestows as He will.

Al-Maidah      The Table 5:64

Jews and Gentiles

9 What then? Are we better than they? Not at all. For we have previously charged both Jews and Greeks that they are all under sin. 10 As it is written:

"There is none righteous, no, not one;  11 There is none who understands; There is none who seeks after God.  12 They have all turned aside; They have together become unprofitable; There is none who does good, no, not one."  13 "Their throat is an open tomb; With their tongues they have practiced deceit";" The poison of asps is under their lips";  14 "Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness."  15 "Their feet are swift to shed blood;  16 Destruction and misery are in their ways;  17 And the way of peace they have not known."  18 "There is no fear of God before their eyes."

19 Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. 20 Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

Romans 3:9-26    NKJV

4:1 Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members? 2 You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask. 3 You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures. 4 Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.

James 4:1-4    NKJV

Judgment by weight

On that day all shall be weighed with justice.  Those whose good deeds weigh heavy in the scales shall triumph, but those whose deeds are light shall lose their soul, because they have denied Our revelations.

Al-A’raf      The Heights     7:8-9

Saved by Grace

8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Ephesians 2:8-9   NKJV

25 When His disciples heard it, they were greatly astonished, saying, "Who then can be saved?" 26 But Jesus looked at them and said to them, "With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."

Matthew 19:25-26    NKJV
